If you are one of those people who judge the anime based on it's image cover, then I bet you won't dare to watch it LOL!
( This is the COVER actually...SEE?LOL)
I mean, who would want to watch an anime with a Gorilla-looking protagonist?? Most of us watch anime because of the Bishounens(good looking guy) and Bishoujo(Good looking girl) right?
However, this anime is completely different. Most anime has a bishounen protagonist but in THIS anime, the protagonist is actually not good looking AND it's the leading lady who is actually the cute one here :)
Here's a short summary about the anime from chia-anime:
Gouda Takeo is a freshman in high school. (Both estimates: Weight: 120kg, Height: 2 meters.) He spends his days peacefully with his super-popular-with-girls, yet insensitive childhood friend, Sunagawa. One morning, on the train to school, Takeo saves a girl, Yamato, from being molested by a pervert. Could this be the beginning of spring for Takeo?
As what you've read, he has a handsome childhood best friend.
This is Makoto Sunagawa!! So handsome right?? No wonder all the girls Takeo liked had fallen in love with him!! LOL poor Takeo. But Sunakawa actually cares deeply for Takeo. He only shows his authentic smile and laughter to him...I know I know, BROMANCE isn't it?LOL
This is RINKO YAMATO, whom Takeo saves on the train from an ugly molester. After she was saved, she immediately fell in love with Takeo. Love at first sight isn't it? She is actually very good at baking sweets and pastries and often baked whenever she meets up with Takeo and Makoto.
And this is our beloved protagonist: TAKEO GOUDA ! Look at that face!! He's like a sumo wrestler or a gangster right? He is VERY tall and Muscular with a face that easily scares around him. Who wouldn't be afraid when you get to meet this kind of look. But Takeo is a living proof of the saying, " Do not judge a book by its cover" , because indeed Takeo is a kind and soft hearted person who cares for everybody :') When you are in trouble, he wouldn't hesitate to help someone.
The Anime adaptation is still on Episode 1, but once you see it you'll easily get hooked up because the story and characters are just too cute!! The catch here is that, Takeo actually thought that Yamato has feelings for Makoto instead for him. LOL. SO the story will probably revolve on when will Takeo sees through the feelings of Yamato for him.
As for me, I am super excited for the next episode. I'm actually itching to read the manga because I can't wait on how the story will progress.
